Becoming a sponsor of two children from Children International was a blessing. After I learned more about the authenticity of the organization, I felt inspired and compelled to do more to help. I then came up with the idea to host a fundraiser in Los Angeles, to raise money for Children International and to inspire others to become sponsors. I envisioned the impact a local fundraiser could make and decided to contact Children International to inquire if they would welcome the idea. It began with one conversation, which led to another, and another, and another. Then proudly after bringing together an incredible committee and months of preparation;  On March 5, 2016, we presented the 1st Annual Share Love Around the World fundraiser benefiting Children International.

This spectacular event was held at Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate, best known as one of the most desired venues for weddings in Malibu. It sits alone on a hilltop that overlooks its vineyard, the valleys, and the Pacific Ocean. The 360 degree views are magnificent.

The International theme was perfectly suitable. Thank you to Found Rentals’ donation of eclectic furnishings and an array of diverse accents. Chris Wrobleski with Sybarite Designs joined our committee and designed a very appealing space outside for our guest and VIP seating.

Reaching our maximum capacity of 300 guests, the event was sold out. Compassionate attendees and celebrity guests were welcomed with a full open bar, hors d’oeuvres, a cigar lounge, a silent auction, a DJ, and special performances throughout the evening.

Thank you to our dynamic committee and support from our very special guests.

Custom art piece done by the talented Daniel Maltzman

We achieved much success with our main intent of the evening, and 60 children gained new sponsors. Thank you to those who opened their hearts to truly make a difference in the life of an impoverished child.

Guests enjoyed an excellent salsa dance performed by the smallest salsa world champions, Kevin and Gaby, as seen on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Additional live entertainment included performances by Annie Bosko, a rising country singer, and Andrew Allen.

All guests received a complimentary MyIntent bracelet and gift bags containing items from Face Bar, Four Seasons Westlake, Juice Crafters, WELLA, David Barton Gym, Springboard Vacations, and more.

What an incredible, successful night supporting and bringing awareness to Children International. Thank you to those who supported us. We look forward to seeing you in 2017!
