Today’s episode is to inform and educate women on Breast Implant Illness. I think it is absolutely essential to inform yourself before making big decisions such as getting breast implants. Although I know I am not just speaking for myself when I say years back we didn’t know what we now do. It is clear now that there is such a thing as BII (breast implant illness) and today I brought on the leading expert for BII to discuss what leads to this, what are the common symptoms, what we need to do before we explant, how to properly detox and reduce inflammation, and what to avoid if you have implants.

Dr. Robert Whitfield has been a plastic surgeon for over 25 years and board-certified for over 16 years. Dr. Whitfield specializes in Breast Implant Illness (BII), breast implant removal surgery (explants), and advanced cosmetic procedures such as his “No-Cut” Facelift. He has performed over 3,000 explant surgeries to date. In addition to his work as a surgeon, Dr. Whitfield developed the Strategic Holistic Accelerated Recovery Program (SHARP), a series of protocols to help reduce systemic inflammation and assist patients who  are preparing or recovering from surgical procedures, cosmetic or otherwise.
