I’m so excited to share this conversation with my guest today as it truly was one of my favorites. I think we all have experienced that time in life when it seems like the whole world is crashing down on us. You know that saying, when it rains, it pours. It’s those moments in time when everything seems to be going wrong. My guest today shares exactly that and why all of it needed to happen for her to truly wake up to the reality that the direction she was going wasn’t sustainable anymore. How many of you can relate to that? I know for myself I’ve had these moments and now that I’m on the other side, I’m thankful for it.

In this episode you will learn that there is beauty in your journey…even during the hardest of times, because through it all it will serve you lessons you needed to learn and you will discover there was purpose in your pain. Today is your permission to reclaim your joy and remember who you are.

Welcome my guest, Alexis Jones. Alexis  is an internationally recognized speaker, media personality, activist, and author of the New York Times Bestselling book, I AM THAT GIRL, which she named after the non-profit organization she founded. I AM THAT GIRL grew to more than one million members with chapters all over the world and attracted the support of a wide range of celebrities, including Kristen Bell, Sophia Bush, Bryce Dallas Howard, Andra Day, Monique Coleman, and many others. Alexis also created ProtectHer, an educational program for male athletes on the importance of respecting women, which grew in popularity and demand during the #MeToo era.

Prior to her speaking, activism, and literary careers, Alexis appeared as an on-air personality, as a cast member on Survivor, and – later – on Elite 11 for ESPN. The recipient of The Jefferson Award, the “Oscar of Activism,” she has been featured on Oprah’s SuperSoul100, AOL’s Makers, DELL’s Inspire100 List, Fast Company’s “Female Trailblazers,” ESPN’s “Pop Culture’s Top Ten,” Girl Scouts’ Woman of Distinction, and she was highlighted as one of the five most influential women in Texas as a Profiles in Power winner., Alexis has been invited to speak at the White House, The United Nations, Harvard, Stanford, Nike, Google, Facebook, The NFL, and Division I locker rooms all over the country.

She welcomed her newest book in June 2023,  Joy Hunter  Messy Faceplants, Radical Love, and the Journey That Changed Everything.

Now let’s talk about this subject:

Feeling Burnt Out, Lost, and Unfulfilled….How To RECLAIM YOUR JOY And Remember Who You Are With Alexis Jones

When any loss happens we are confronted with who we see ourselves to be. Our identity is shaped by who we see ourselves to be, the role we play, the job title we have, or status we are known for. What if that were all taken away…who would you be?  My guest, Alexis Jones had to confront it all and went on a journey that gave her the opportunity to remember who she is, at her core. Today she gives you the permission to reclaim your joy and authentically align to you authentic self. Learn how to return home to the true essence of what brings you joy.
